eBooze - Click & Drink

This post has been long overdue. Better late than never, plus this little 'gold mine' is worth the wait.

If you haven't heard of eBooze, then I'm not sure why not. If you're someone who hates the schlep (Verb: Haul or carry something heavy or awkward) of trekking to the nearest bottle store for your favourite beer, bubbly, wine, cider, spirits, cold drinks, you name it, then you're not alone. Musty, old, sometimes dirty bottle stores are so last year. All you need to do from here onwards is go to Ebooze click on what you want to order, then wait approximately 30mins to an hour for your entire order to arrive ICE COLD and ready to consume. Trust me, I know. I use them personally, corporately and can vouch for them, plus they are awesome people to round it off. They deliver pretty much anywhere in Cape Town, check the site for various delivery fees. They are very reasonable, have fantastic stock, including crafted beers, international wine, crafted cider, shooters etc. If they don't stock something you really fancy, talk to them and they aim to please..

My first order (below) was an awesome little case of selected wines, which were delivered to me within 15 mins of clicking the 'pay' button. That quick. Not only was by order chop chop, but I also received a fantastic little package of wasabi nuts, organic chocolate (yes they stock snacks too!) and Haas coffee purely for being their first customer. That's pretty impressive.

They also run pretty cool competitions, mostly weekly, for various items to win. My company entered a Twitter competition and Cam kindly delivered our prize below. So keep an eye on their Twitter feed for specials, competitions and general humour. Payments are safe, easy, quick, with invoices mailed to your inbox. For any questions / nervous nillies, they are a simple call away.

They are currently only based in Cape Town, but watch this space for expansion to other major cities, believe me, the requests are not being ignored. But for now, us Capetonians, will sit back, click click and wait for our ice cold deliveries to roll through all summer. Visit eBooze now, have a browse and thank me later.

Safe House (2012)

Here's the trailer for "Safe House" (2012) starring Ryan Reynolds and Denzil Washington. The movie was filmed in my hometown, Cape Town so I cannot wait to see it! Beautiful scenery, action filled scenes and a fantastic cast. My type of movie.

The story line of the movie? "When a CIA-operated safe house is targeted by a group of bad guys, the facility's house-sitter is tasked with the dangerous job of moving the criminal who is being hidden there to another secure location."

How To Speak New Zillund

Came across this very funny post about "How to Speak Nu Zulland / New Zillund." Very entertaining and very true. I'm sure New Zealanders have a few to rip off the South Africans too. ;)

Choir Flashmob: Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University

Thanks to Mel Attree for posting this on her blog, most definitely worth sharing it. The NMMU choir carried out this flashmob in the windy city of P.E. What a success and what a fantastic video that all South Africans can appreciate.

Real Strength Film - LUTA

This video is goosebumps stuff. "Real strength is sacrificing everything for a dream, that only you can see."

Taken from Youtube: "Based on the real life story of LUTA Ambassador and boxing champion Roberto Custódio, who is interpreted by the voice of worldwide film star Idris Elba."

Hopefully, look out for a film about this guy in the future. Inspirational stuff.
